At locotechnology, our mission has always been to support promising ideas and give them the resources needed to succeed. Our acquisition of BrandDefender was driven by that belief — a commitment to stabilizing the company, preserving its core value, and exploring a viable path forward during a critical moment.
Despite meaningful investment, strategic restructuring, and extensive efforts to revive the platform, it became clear that BrandDefender could not sustainably continue in its existing form. After careful evaluation, we made the difficult decision to wind down operations.
While this outcome is not what we initially envisioned, we remain proud of the work done to protect BrandDefender’s customers, employees, and intellectual legacy during a challenging period. Not every bold effort results in long-term continuation, but we believe in acting decisively and responsibly when circumstances change.
We thank everyone who contributed to BrandDefender’s journey and remain focused on backing strong ideas with clarity, discipline, and integrity moving forward.
